OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM KAREN STUART, NORTHWEST PARKWAY PUBLIC HIGHWAY AUTHORITY BOARD CHAIR

“The Northwest Parkway Public Highway Authority toll road board of directors today moved to give preliminary approval for a multi-year leasing concession agreement with preferred bidding team Brisa Auto-Estradas de Portugal, S.A./Companhia de Concessoes Rodoviarias (Brisa/CCR).  Through the agreement, Brisa/CCR will assume financial obligations and will manage business operations and roadway maintenance for the toll road.  We are pleased to enter into a new era of partnership and look forward to a continued high level of customer service for our drivers that will now be provided by the Brisa/CCR operations team.  We would like to thank Brisa/CCR for their outstanding proposal and high level of professionalism throughout the negotiation process.  A joint announcement from the Northwest Parkway and Brisa/CCR will follow on Thursday, which will include an official statement from Brisa/CCR regarding today’s announcement.  As publicly traded companies, Brisa/CCR must first send a release to the Portuguese and Brazilian stock exchanges to comply with capital market requirements.  The time difference between Colorado, Portugal and Brazil prevents Brisa/CCR from notifying shareholders until Thursday morning, local time.”
